Foreign Law Consultant, started ARCE Law in 2009 to provide new and unique legal services in immigration and International Law. Gilberto specializes in navigating complex immigration issues as well as representing US companies and individuals who invest, do business or have pending legal issues in Mexico. He received his law degree from the University of Guadalajara.  Prior to his assignment to the Mexican Consulate he practiced criminal and civil law for a private firm in Mexico.

As a highly accomplished Consular Officer and Legal Advisor, with domestic and international experience, Gilberto has managed a variety of programs including the Visa and Dual Citizenship Department where he assisted Mexican citizens with the application process to obtain official government documents. As the official liaison between the Consulate and the United States Department of Homeland Security, Gilberto worked closely with the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in immigration and criminal legal matters. He also managed outreach programs and provided legal advice and Consular aid to Mexican citizens in their immigration and criminal cases.  In addition, he coordinated the safe repatriation of Mexican Nationals and Juveniles.

Gilberto served seven of his eight years at the Consulate as head of the immigration legal department where he would see approximately 100 cases each month involving Mexican National petitioners and detainees in immigration proceedings.  Gilberto would work with both petitioners and assigned defense council.

After his assignment with the Consulate, has worked with different law firm as a consultant attorney in Foreign and Immigration Law since 2007 to this date.

In 2008, Gilberto was admitted to the Washington Bar Association as well as the American Bar Association.
